Well, this is just the small thinking so I don't know if this thing is mention before or not. But as everybody know the 3.0 is going to come, so I have some idea. I am thinking about the whole game balance somehow limit we add the new unit, also each time the unit change seems can't let everyone to satisfy.
So, if it is possible. Maybe add the option to set what Unit you can deploy in Skirmish Line and Player custom map. I will not expect the custom unit system(something like you can edit the golem's magic defence or moving distance..etc ) as that goes quiet far and somehow lose the meaning about this game spirit, although that also sounds cool. What I am thinking is " You can build some map and limit the unit you can call " to give different tactical sense. This is quiet good for player made map and especially if they fight on server. XD
Yeah, just a thought. lol

That's a good idea, I have actually thought about it when making 2.0. But it will not be in 3.0, might be added in later 3.x versions.

XD sorry if I say something wrong he told me that he isn't taking up ideas right now as he is busy in the engine framework
