When buying troops I rarely ever buy the Arch Mage. He doesn't seem to be a powerful unit. He has a ranged attack.....but only for one square, and he can 'inspire' other friendly units....but it still doesn't seem like a powerful unit. Am I missing something?

In ancient empires reloaded,
A unit can only have 1 status at a time, the status cant change, until the current status is expired,
So archmage inspire ability(+10 attack) can be use to block negative status for him and units around his allies,
Bcos a unit can only have 1 status at a time
Almost similar like spirit

Am I missing something? unit with good damage and good abilitie 10 points of incresed damage is really big thing especialy in large battles. |

Umm.....i think not so OP, he has slow movement and quite small phys def. But, yeah i agree that Archmage not (so) balanced right now
